Fellow, American Academy of Pediatrics
Dr. Derco founded
Associates in Pediatrics in 2000. He received his medical degree
from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his residency,
including a year as Chief Pediatric
Resident, at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati,
Ohio. He was in private practice in Florida before moving to
Richmond where he taught at Virginia Commonwealth University’s
Medical College of Virginia from 1995-2000. He currently serves on various
committees at regional hospitals.

Fellow, American Academy of Pediatrics
Dr. Sutherland
received her medical degree from the State University of New York at
Buffalo School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Internship
and Pediatric Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University’s
Medical College of Virginia. She joined
Associates in Pediatrics in 2003.

Tamara A. Charity-Brown, MD FAAP
Fellow, American Academy of Pediatrics
Dr. Charity-Brown
received her medical degree from the
from the
University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed her
Pediatric Internship and Pediatric Residency at Virginia
Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. She
practiced in Petersburg for four years prior to joining Associates
in Pediatrics in 2008. |
